Stimulate hair growth with low level light therapy (LLLT)
Hair loss affects both men and women. The LED technology at Nueva Clinic delivers low level light at 630nm and 850nm wavelengths that penetrate deep into the hair follicles on the scalp. Red light had been shown to be the optimum wavelength for hair regrowth. It increases blood flow to the follicles, stimulating them to produce thicker, stronger hair. The treatment works synergistically with the Nueva Hair Regrowth Laser for better results.
How does red light LLLT work?
Red light LLLT expresses its action through photobiochemical reactions characterized by an increase of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production (by absorption of mitochondrial protoporphyrin IX), intracellular oxidative distress modulation, transcription factors induction, changes in collagen synthesis by fibroblast growth factor (FGF) activation, increase of type 1 procollagen, increase of matrix metalloproteinasis (MMP)-9, decrease of MMP-1, angiogenesis stimulation, and increase of blood flow and relevant anti-inflammatory effect.
